:: Hi-Hats & CymbalsEach hi hat instrument contains a vast selection of different hi hat articulations. As rule the hats are mapped one sample on each key (allowing full use of 0-127 dynamics) starting at C1 in sets of 4 related samples ie 4 x hard tight 4 x open, etc. that way it possible to create very sophisticated and accurate hi hat patterns. The Hats are sampled in stereo (Room Mic Left Direct mic Right). Choose the stereo versions if you have lots of Ram they often sound the best in a track. You can of course create mono versions from the stereo versions just use the direct mic for a close sound or the room mic for a slightly lighter sound. The mono version are supplied for ease of use, using the direct mic, if you want to switch between mono or stereo after sequencing a pattern the same samples are on the same keys. They also have Mono or a number added to the name to prevent the wrong samples being loaded
(esx24 users only each set of related samples has its own key-group so you can adjust the relative levels and or number of voices for each set in the mix)
70's hats - these hat samples were recorded at red bus studios London using the old MCI desk.. The samples were 1st recorded onto analog tape then sampled via tube pre amps into the apogee AD8000 converters using soft limit to get the 'old retro sound'
Lo-Fi hats - this offers a lo fi version of the hats, a great sound choice for R&B or urban tracks!
Old DNE hats these are great little hats when a more 'programmed vibe' is needed. Also good on urban tracks
